Upcoming local & Auckland City Performance opportunities
The options are endless!
30th March 2013 Vicki's Bellydance School hosted their first cultural Middle Eastern Dance show at the Centrestage Theatre,
supported by Creative NZ, Auckland City Council. It was a huge success for everyone, & it was a pleasure to provide the top venue for her students & guests.
Vicki coordinated the whole event single handedly, from 6 months before the show took place to finish: she multi-tasked by filling in all the roles as: show director, choreographer, teacher, troupe coach, costume designer, costume maker, guest performer coordinator. She also designed, made, & provided 8 sets of wings & matching costume skirts for all her students free of charge to perform in. On top of that Vicki gave numerous
'free hours' of her time to her students for rehearsals & assist to get them 'dance ready' in preparation for the show throughout the 6 months prior to 30th march 2013.
Vicki is in close contact with the sub-committee of MEDANZ = Middle Eastern Dance Association of New Zealand, & soon will be undertaking volunteer work in the local community to assist in their upcoming annual festival at Orewa Colleges's Arts & Events Centre April 2014.
